Our USJ trip in Osaka, Japan was one of the craziest, but still a wondrous experience. Ever since that thrilling Tower of Terror Ride at Tokyo DisneySea (read my electrifying experience HERE), I started getting nervous on every attractions. Lol.
Yes, obviously, this was the craziest tho. I took this photo at the Universal City Station, only a few-minute walk from Universal Studios. We were just in time for the Golden Week—which starts on April 29 continuing through May 7, a national holiday in Japan that used to be celebrated as the birthday of Emperor Showa, who passed away in 1989. But we did not really expect the severe crowd.
I really wanted to take a perfect photo at the Universal City Walk. But oh well, all we can see is people everywhere. So we had no choice but just to capture the moment and just take them as a background. Haha!
Before entering the park, of course, we won’t miss taking a photo with the famous revolving globe.
I almost had this perfect shot, but still didn’t.
Bought our day ticket for ¥8,112 or ₱3,829 at Klook.com, and as usual, it was so convenient and hassle-free. One of the best travel buddy!
As we enter the park, we weren’t surprise to see the crowd. We’ve expected it already since the time we arrived at the Universal City Station. And same with Tokyo DisneySea, there are also kids in their cutiepatootie costumes, couples and squad in matching tees, matching outfits, matching headpieces and accessories.
USJ has 8 sections: Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, Amity Village, Universal Wonderland, Waterworld, Minion Park, and the newest which is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Wasn’t able to take photos at all sections because it was super jampacked! We still made our way to enjoy our experience.
My favorite part? The Wizarding World of Harry Potter + the Minion Park!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Stone walls I’ve found few steps from Hogwarts!
Not a fan of Harry Potter but the surreal beauty of the Black lake and Hogwarts castle was just so mesmerizing with its imposing but magnificent appearance!
Ever wonder what’s inside this Hogwarts castle standing on a steep rocky mountain? It was a magical ride with almost 200 minutes waiting time! Crazy, isn’t it? No doubt becauseThe Wizarding World of Harry Potter is by far the most popular section and has the longest queues. Good thing we have a Universal Express Pass—read here.
Inside Hogwarts castle, you’ll travel through the classrooms and corridors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft. But before everything else, you’ll be needing to leave all your belongings on their provided lockers—I wasn’t able to take photos because it was crowder and I’m also excited. Thrilling! After that, you’ll experience and enjoy the magical adventure on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey as your feet dangle in the air and the ride’s movements are synchronized with visuals that gives a complete 360 degree experience. It was the coolest ride so far! Superb!!!
Another attraction there was the Flight of the Hippogriff, it was a roller-coaster with a head of an eagle and body of a horse. Almost similar to the roller skater ride at Enchanted Kingdom here in the Philippines.
Completing our Harry Potter experience, was this popular and must-try butter beer. It is a sweet and non-alcoholic beverage.
The fun side of Universal Studios! Especially for the kids and kid at heart like me. It was a perfect resemblance of the movie ‘Despicable Me’.
The Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride. It was like a digital rollercoaster in a vehicle designed by Gru with the girls—Margo, Edith, and Agnes, and the minions. Plus we got to explore Gru’s home! Such a cool one! From the wall drawings, to the decorations and furnitures. Just wow.
Actually, anywhere across the USJ theme park is picture perfect, as in anywhere you look, there’s a perfect spot. The only problem is the crowd.
They say that bringing personal food and beverages inside the park is prohibited. But well, lucky us, due to the extreme crowd, they weren’t to able to inspect bags one by one and we did brought our baon we bought from 7 eleven inside. The food and snacks inside the park were expensive, and were not worth the price tho.
